Guys are you going to release an editor for players to allow them to create their own dungeons? :-) It could be great!

They would like to do it, but completing of the game comes first. So in future maybe.

Yep, that's how it goes. We'd love to make it but let's do one thing at a time and get the game out of the door first :)

Level editor? Oh, yes please... :D

I will happily take this opportunity to register my interest and support in releasing a level editor for the public and fans to use.

When you release the editor, will it come in a free patch or will it be a separate DOWNLOAD?

Modding tools and/or editor will be completely free and they will probably be integrated to the game somehow.

I just want to add my support to the idea of releasing a map editor. Will make me much more likely to buy the game. I LOVE map editors.

I would LOVE tryine to recreate Eye1 as faithfully as posible with the editor :) Tried recreating it in various game editors over the years and funnely enough the best result was in the Unreal editor... (with textures imported from the actual game.. but it was hard to script the monsters and stuff...

The primary difference between map formats of DM and LoG that I can think of is the way doors are handled. DM had a 'door tile', while LoG has doors between tiles. So no door-guillotining monsters in LoG, sorry.

Not having seen the tech from the "other side", I'd still wager LoG is much more flexible than the earlier games, due to the scriptability of things.
