It's both LoL 1 and 2.
Lol1 from GoG is patched equivalent to my original CD version [ver 1.02 D]
LoL 2 is a lot different. It was really incredible at the time... but suffered a delayed launch (and that was crippling to their sales to have fully 3D games to compete with on the shelves ~since it was not one). The game is a 2.5D engine, but it handles moving "3d" objects in the view; you can move and even stack boxes on top of each other in this 2D game, and then stand on or jump off of them.
I've not come across bugs in either that prevented play. (There probably are some, but I've never found them to interfere). Lands of Lore is really good; I like LoL2 also.
There is [strangely] an official 3dfx patch for LoL2, but I don't think it comes with the GoG version.
** If you play LoL2... know that your character does not know how to swim ~dies in the water.

Just had a quick play of LoL as 'Michael'
LOVE it!
Charming adventure, utterly charming. The $6 is worth it just to hear our own Patrick Stewart's patrician tones (British, natch! :-p ) It's got Westwood Studios slick production and graphical flair all over it that I recognise from EoB II too.
Watching the introduction I thought...hang on, that's Brian Blessed (King Gladstone) with Pat Stewart's voice! And the opening has just the right amount of comedy in the 'yes master' scampering demon minion character and 'boo-hiss' hamminess in the main baddie (I thought it's Zelda from Terrahawks) with the 'Dr. Evil' "Mua-ha...mua-ha-ha...muaha-ha-ha-haaaar"
Not stupidly difficult either. Just challenging enough with visuals that are not *so* good that you stop using your imagination (Skyrim)

He wasn't the first choice...
(Not Scotia either)

There was this one game where you move square by square. You could also have up to 4 players playing it on same screen divided to 4 sub-screens. There were movable blocks and you could set traps. Characters were kind of military / cyborg style with many weapon choices. Please remind me what was the name..

** I guess not... I watched a bit of it and didn't see any traps, or many weapons.

Nice guess, however the game I'm thinking is maybe 5 years newer and the display is from characters eyes. And I remember vividly those pushable blocks, they could be even piled up.

That was surely Hired Guns. Made by DMA Design, of Lemmings fame. They went on to make GTA and are now Rockstar North. There was a hidden/bonus level with giant lemmings in it

Thanks, you made my day! What a nostalgic feeling, that was definitely one of the best games!

My favorite is also Lands of Lore, with Might and Magic 3-5 following not too far behind.
Since no-one has mentioned them yet, there's actually been a bit of a revival on iDevices lately. Doom 2 RPG and Undercroft are excellent games in this genre, and I'd higly recommend them to anyone with an iPhone/Pod.
