Spells slow

Post by Justinj2004 »

Is there any way to quickly cast spells? New to grim rock but I always use the one button spells because they're faster.

i think thats how they are intended to work casting a spell especially the powerful ones are meant to take some skill/time in executing them

also im pretty sure the next tier spells in the magic trees are more powerful, i would assume fireball does more damage than fire burst for example

Ok what I feared you'd say. I guess I just need to determine dps given my slow fingers.

Yep, that's basically how magic works. The single rune spells are naturally quick to cast but also close range only and the lowest in terms of damage. Multi-rune spells like fireball or lighting bolt do more damage in general (and at a distance too) while their combination requires more time to draw and thus cast.

Nevertheless casting such spells should not be that much slower since the iPad version features the same cast by gesture system as LoG 2. Original LoG 1 for PC/Linux/Mac did casting by clicking each rune required which is definatly slower.

dont forget u can precast spells by drawing the symbols before u fire it, also if u want to fire off another high cast spell its a good idea to run back a bit to get a little breathing room

hint* doors with levers or chains u can pull to shut them should help by trapping enemies, and the frostbolt which has a chance to freeze them

Interesting tip! I never knew you could precast spells. I mean I would see the spell in the ready, but I've always cast it directly after drawing the necessary runes. I thought it would dissipate if I waited too long. This will definitely come in handy! :D
