Killing with doors?

Firstly. WOW, what an great game this is. All my DM and CSB memories came flooding back when I sat down for an hour play last night. A big WELL DONE from me to the whole Dev team. I've already bought this as a gift for a friend who also used to play DM/CSB/Captive on his ST many years ago.
I've got one small issue though:
In Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back it was possible to kill creatures by luring them into doorways and then closing the door on them. Sometimes they'd just stand and take it, other times they'd walk off. It really helped with the larger creatures like Dragons or when you faced a group of 4 monsters.
In LoG I can't seem to trap anything in a doorway.
I think this has something to do with the granularity of movement within a tile. LoG appears to force creatures into a single tile and doorways seem to me to be between two tiles and are not a tile space themselves. In DM and CSB (small) creatures could move within one tile (any one of the quarters of the square or even the centre) and doorways were a tile space, or part tile space, allowing them to be trapped under/between the door, portcullis etc
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to trap creatures this way?
(Yes, I know LoG isn't DM/CSB and therefore has it's own game rules...it's just that everything else seemed so similar that I thought I'd be able to drop doors on peoples heads...)
