Hints for Meteor?

Looking for hints. Here's what I've got so far --
I found the two headstone eyes and I assumed they would point me to the spot but they are in different zones altogether - one in the House of Needles in Stormbreach, the other in the Bog.
Looking at my compass and my ancient map from the
castle they seem like they would meet at Sleet Island.
Now, should I be looking for another note/hint somewhere as to where exactly I can find it, am I supposed to just search the zone randomly? I'm running in old-school mode and I have a good sense of direction so I haven't been making maps. The only other thing I could think of would be to actually make a map of
Stormbreach, Ruins of Desarune, Sleet Island, Forgotten River and the Bog, line them up hoping they are the same 'box' wise and trace the points? Lot of work to do if it isn't the case though.

You have to
draw two lines from the two stone heads in the directions they're facing. The meteor is at the intersection of those lines.
Exact location:
Stand in front of the Sleet Island healing crystal, move two squares south, three squares west, one square north, one square west, then face west and dig.

Ok, so without spoiling the exact location for myself it looks like I'll be making maps for
Sleet, Hamlet, Ruins of Desarune, Forgotten River and Bog and lining them all up!

I don't know that this is really a spoiler. It isn't the exact location, but it does apply a bit of logic to narrow down the search even more.
Consider. You think they meet in sleet island. To check that more quickly than making 6 maps you could trace maps for the eyesight of just one statue (i.e.: either make a map-series for Hamlet>Desarune>Sleet, or a map for Bog>River>Sleet) Line up the maps, then dig at every point along the eye's trajectory inside sleet island.
It's still a big project, and being one-square off will screw up the entire thing. But it might be easier than making maps for 6 areas, and having that many more opportunities for error.

instead of drawing maps you can just
see how far down the hamlet one is .....say 8 or 9 tiles from map edge....and it will be 8 or 9 tiles down in sleet

i don't think it's worth drawwing maps. suggestion:
just estimate where the gaze of the two eyes meet and dig in that general area until you hit pay dirt - maybe you could walk straight out from one eye (as much as possible) to get that line down.

I ended up doing it that way, Dematto. I should've done it from the Bog instead since it is more complicated going underground from sewers, ruins, etc. and because of this I am not so sure Karinas advice would work.. ? That would assume that the bottom tiles of both maps were lined up. I ended up being 1 row off anyway but it was still faster to keep checking around the vicinity rather than map out everything.
Thanks to everyone for the advice, though.
