No Tux No Bux

Post by megamanx1978 »

Recently the devs made it clear that they have no plans to support Linux with Grimrock 2 after the first Grimrock had Linux support. Here is a link about this: http://gamingonlinux.com/articles/legen ... rtain.4603 I plan on telling my friends not to get this game becouse of this. If you care about Linux and your computer freedom when you are gaming I encourage you guys to tell Almost Human Games "No Tux No Bux" here too.

Between a "can't promise" statement from AH and your "no plans for support" claim is enough room to sink a universe.

Bahh... don't be so dogmatic... WINE is fine, just enjoy the game there. Especially, as long as development for the fragmented linux ecosystem is still so complicated (look at the Log1 forum here, still people have problems with the state of linux sound/graphic/input devices/etc support).

Wine is not really an option anymore for new games on Mac/Linux. Since most titles are going DX11 only they simply don't run in wine. I still hope that LoG II for Linux happens.

Well at least you provided the source so we can see they haven't said there was no plan for it despite what you claim.

I have told all my friends, family, and co-workers to get this game. That should make up for the 3 Penguins you told that probably couldn't afford the game in the first place
