Props and creds

I just had to pay my respect to all you people developing LoG.

I guess I am to be consider an old time gamer. Started out on an old Atari 2600 and have been involved with video and computer games ever since. So it is not a surprise that one of my all time favourite game is Dungeon Master. After putting in some considerble ammount of time in Half Life TFC I kind of burned out for a while, and have only been interested in som real casual gameing, not that "have to raid 3h a day crap". In my quest for casual gameing I have searched for a DM clone, especially on the iPhone (since it so nice to have a fun game when doing nr 2). But nothing has really been able to match the old game. So yesterday a collegue of mine started talking about this retro game beeing developed and when he described the gameplay I just had to drop everything and se what he was talking about.

According to the screens and gameplay video it sure looks as if you have captured the essence of games like DM and Eye of the beholder etc. I did not see any spell-casting GUI, but maybe I just didn´t look hard enough. Sure loved the part when you made potions and spells etc...

Can´t wait to play this game so keep up the good work!!

Aah, tfc. I was never a big fan of online shooters, but tfc is responsible for some of my finest online gaming moments. If only tf2 didn't have all that hat-craze.

Still, keeps surprising me how old some of the people here are. I looked up the atari 2600, that thing was made before I was even born, and I'm 29 years old now :o

I kept wondering if there was information on the various rune... thanks for the link.
This also answers my question about a 'priest' type build; I suppose its just a matter of selecting and boosting the right magic skills so you can cast the Life rune spell line.

For an old school gamer like you. Do you remember Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Treasure of Tarmin (1982) for the Intellivision ? That one must be one of the very first Dungeon Master type games. Of course it was very simple due to the Mattel console limitations, but it was utterly brilliant for its time.

Best regards, and have a lot of beer until LoG realeses !

I admire the logical lay out presented by the casting panel

Elemental 'X' & "Diagonal Symmetry"

Fire Image, is diagonally opposite of ice Image.

Earth Image is diagonally opposite of the element Image; with balance in the middle of four as it should be Image

Spiritaul VS Physical

Horizontally, Spirituality Image is opposite of Physicality Image with balance once again in the middle of those two opposites Image.

Death VS Life

Vertically you have at Top middle Life Image opposite of Death Image with once again balance in-between Image.

This simple logical sequence should lend to easier Rune location memorization - anyone know if we will be able to assign Runes to key presses of if it is click only?

I believe it is click only, as all 4 characters have a separate casting panel.

Please note that we have swapped the positions of Life & Death. Life is now on top (heaven), Death looming below (hell).

EDIT: you missed diagonal symmetry, fire-ice, earth-air :)
