(In room where you go with Leprechaun, with lots of openings)

Pulling a lever nearby should close that pit.

To close that pit, you need to push another button nearby. It's a big round one, should be easy to find.

Solution:
The first button is in the 2x2 room directly right of the pit you are aiming to close.
