Heavy Weapons Question

I was over at the general forums and I noticed something weird. I won't have access to my main computer for the next few days so I wond be able to check it. Instead, I'll drop it here.

Has anyone ever got 5 heavy & 5 light on the same character? Is it possible to DW with a 2 hander and a light weapon?

Dual Wielding requires(!) Light Weapons. No Dual Wielding with anything else.

No, you can't. If you have two light weapons, then when you click one, the other stays open so you can click it two. But if the other one is not a light weapon, both hands grey out with the cooldown of whatever you used.

I think you can dual wield with a heavy in the main and a light weapon in the off hand.

Although what I decided to do was instead go dual wield light weapons and max critical on a ratling barbarian ... its working very very well.

What you *can* do with Heavy 5 is use two-handed light weapons in one hand (since that trait is not specific to heavy weapons), so along with Light 5 you can dual wield harpoons and/or the handful of other two-handed light weapons that exist in the game. It's more gimmicky than useful since those two-handed light weapons aren't generally very good (although dual wielding harpoons can be nice against Zarchtons if you can find a second one).

WRONG! Read those skills again *facepalms* Heavy 5, you can yse two handed HEAVY weapons in 1 hand. Light 3, you can duel wield 2 LIGHT weapons as long as 1 is a dagger, and at 5 can duel wield with any 2 LIGHT weapons.

Read the Skill Descriptions guys...

WRONG! If you actually try it out in the game *facepalm*, you'll find that heavy weapons 5 does, in fact, allow you to wield 2-handed LIGHT weapons in one hand.

This is correct.
With Heavy Weapon 5 you can wield any 2-handed weapon in one hand including the few 2-handed Light weapons.
