Can't Open Door in the Archives?

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to open the door in the archives. The one after you activate the light bridge, then you go through the locked door. Its the door on the top level with the spider and 'follow the light' scroll.

Activating the secret was easy.

But the door has no keyhole, cannot find a lever, no buttons, and no combination of plates or spiders or beating my head against the wall is making it open.

Follow the light is a pretty direct hint.

Once the spider is on the pressure plate, go back upstairs and look at the 5 pits. Follow the light. In other words, drop rocks or whatever down the lit holes. The door opens.

It doesn't work.

I'm not trying to open the secret.

I'm trying to open the wooden door up top.

When the spider is on the button. Some of the pressure plates in the lower level are lit, some are not.

make sure the spider is still on the pressure plate. make sure the lights are shining on the row of plates on the other side of the room.

go upstairs, drop an item on plates 1, 2, and 4.

door will open.
