Pyramid of Umas - portal room

There is a room with 4 portals, one in each corner, right before "The Gear" Necklace, i threw a fireball now it wont stop circling the room, what is it suposse to do?

is that the room where two fireballs fly through them already if you enter? I stopped them with forcefield to be safe. There is nothing special about it. iirc there is an item in this room, nothing more.
