Help with Sleet island

Post by VisualDeadlock »

Ok help here please, I have completed most of it, and obtained the power gem here, and also went to the Bog, and was able to get that power gem too (but didn't do the Bog dungeon, seems a little too tough for me, I'm level 7). Went to cemetary, and I am stuck opening the door, and the encased item, but I'll get back to that later.

But Sleet island, as I said, mostly completed it, but I am stuck, there are two teleporters I can't seem to find access to. One of them is the head saying that one is silent and his friend talks, something like that. That teleporter has a gate in front of it, and I can't seem to find a way to open it. I assume once that gate is open, then I will be able to get to the next teleporter, which I assume will then open up access to the building in the middle, I hope. Any help with this?

Also, SE ish there is another building, you walk up to th emetal door and a hooded figure opens the slit in the door, then slams in shut....not sure what that is about but I assume I will eventually get there once I get Sleet island taken care of.

Thanks.

Generally, when you find barred-off teleporters like this, they're return points from dungeons. In this case you'll come out through them when you finish levels that are accessible from Sleet Island. As far as I know, you're not supposed to be able to lower the gates any other way.

The door with the slit comes into play much, much later. Keep exploring elsewhere and you'll find stuff to do. :)

Am I high enough to do that dungeon in the Bog? Those mushroom head thing that cast poison on me? I think I have pretty much explored every where else.

The large cave with the respawning mushrooms and the five-ish pillar things you have to destroy? I got totally pwned by that while I was level 8-ish and left it alone! I think the secret is to destroy the one tucked away around the right-hand corner first because it's narrow to get to. I'm level 11 now and still don't intend to go back, even with a sackful of potions! :(

The goal is probably intended to be destroy that first, however...

If you want to farm mushroom critters then leave that one and destroy all the others... that way you get a steady stream of mushrooms and can go from level 13 to level 17 in a few hours. From about level 15 you will to be killing them as they hatch. You get a steady stream of mushrooms, but you also get rest breaks, because they get stuck in the corner for a while. You can microsleep at the first pillar (nearest to corner) towards the end. You probably want scythe and bane, with 2 heavy weapons characters or it will take longer... or if one just scythe and critical 28 (with wrist band), as it has quick recharge.

I am going to try it with a lone level 13 minotaur farmer with light weapons next, I imagine it will take ages though.
