Beta 2.1.12

Beta 2.1.12 is now available on Steam. Hopefully no more critical bugs are found and we can roll out the patch soon.
Release notes:
- improved precision of boss fight progress bar
- bug fix: items can't be thrown from mouse cursor when standing in front of a open secret door
- bug fix: a spell that was cut from the game during development can be cast by fiddling with the rune panel
- bug fix: loading certain save games can sometimes crash with "could not resolve monster group member with id XXXXX" error

Well - ähm - you are talking about Version 2.1.12 - whats about 2.1.10?
Therefore I am not running Steam I have to patch my game by my own - but when will you finally release the first fixes??

Good.
You definitely need to fix the problem of not getting xp when a mob die in the poison cloud of the poison dart though. It really kill the fun of going earth mage.

This should already be fixed in beta 2.1.11.

Are the patches actually meant to be publicly available now or still in Beta stage? Just looking for clarification because my game does not seem to have been updated yet. (For instance, Weapon Specialization is still called that)
I pre-ordered the game via Grimrock.net and activated on Steam, so it behaves like a regular Steam-purchased product now. However, I'm not really sure if it's been updated or not since when I go to the game directory to check the file version, that part is blank. Besides, as mentioned, certain "updates" have not taken place.

Prior to their actual release, we test the patches in a separate branch in Steam. You can opt-in to the beta branch from the Steam library by right clicking on the game -> properties -> betas. We'll probably release the updated game for everyone tomorrow if no surprises are found.
