In order to get food usually i try to kill turtles, because "fishing" is not very effective, so i would like to know the respawn time of then, does anyone have a idea?

I once tried waiting for a really long time for the turtles to respawn (like 12 in-game days) and non of them did (I was in a completely different zone from them when I waited btw). I think it has to do with the number of tiles you walk because I once killed all the turtles, then just 2 in-game days I went back and they had respawned.

When I played LOG1 I remember the way respawn worked is a certain amount of time as well as walking over an invisible trigger.
Not sure with the open world as it is if that is the case.

If I may add to this thread...

My rough calculation is that mobs respawn at about 4000 steps. Still testing. I'll edit this post when I get something more concrete. But that's my current number.

Metheod: made a new party, noted the day and # of steps I killed all mobs of a type in an area, moved on, then came back every couple in game days. Noted the # of steps I saw them.

In LoG1 things happen slower in zones the further away you are from them in order to save processing power. If they use the same philosophy for respawn timers in LoG2 it may be a bad idea to rest in zones too far away from the respawns you want.

I did another game, this time tracking when I killed each monster. It's not optimized, but here's some speculation on what I saw:

Fauna wouldn't start respawning until I had gone so many steps outside that loaded area. So, leaving the area, doing stuff, coming back. Once back, it took several minutes for the first and subsequent, well, turtles, to respawn. However, to repeat respawns, it seemed to be exponential amounts of time/steps outside the area.

I wouldn't be surprised if their respawning was tied to local/global quest-line events rather than movement or time.
