Hint in Cemetary please

Requesting a hint: Gate in Cemetery
SpoilerShow
The head says the answer is in the Archives.
I have thoroughly searched the archives.
I found the note to decipher the movement to open the gates.
Afterwards I found the 3 parchments with the story about the Xafi traveler.
I am assuming the story is the riddle/answer??
So far I have tried the placement of the parchments as the answer.
I then figured it maybe directional but I have no map of the entire world to see which direction the tundra is and the home of the desert.
The gravestones are also not set up in a way that they can be used as markers for the riddles. If the story is indeed the answer/riddles that is.
Am I on the right track? A really minor hint would help. Frustrating when I can not figure out at least some of it.
thanks

Yup, you're on the right tracks. Two hints:
SpoilerShow
1. There are 5 sentences, so there are 5 moves to make.
2. As for the direction of Tundra/Ice and Desert, it's the same than in our Earth, assuming you live in the north hemisphere.

Reset the floating rock to the middle position after each move.

I'm stuck at the same point.

I assume north is map-north?
I don't get it.

Frozen Tundra - Like russia? Would say East.
Setting Sun - Sun sets West usually.
Hot Desert - Africa? That's South for me.
North Star - Well North?
Path - Same as the 1st? East?

What am i doing wrong?

Honestly, I think it's one of the weaker riddles.
SpoilerShow
Deserts are always south? What if you are from Australia or South America? Good luck finding a desert in the south. Tundra isn't quite as bad, since it's generally in the north no matter where you are.

Now I know why I didn't got all these clues. I haven't visited the Archives yet. Or so I think.

Thank you for the help. It was a very unclear riddle. Not a weak one but some key info was missing.
SpoilerShow
I was missing the starting point of the Desert
but...
Deserts are not always South nor are Tundras.
As I am in North America the largest Desert is actually East and yes somewhat south. However I do start in the Desert in the Story so that gets cleared up.
but...
Both the North and South Pole are frozen and have Tundras. So I could quite frankly go South and then when I come back it would end up being flipped.
sadly too a bloody frog ate my compass and when I backtracked to the bog I could not find it. lucky for that other map.
