Power Me Up? + Crystal Mine general

One of those energy-orb-switches in Crystal Mines, with a sign as the title attached. I can't for the life of me figure out how to power it up, also seem to be missing at least two Mine keys for getting around the area. Completly out of ideas.

And of course I figure it out the moment I post in the forums - Shock spell cast on the switch launched the orb. Gonna leave it here in case someone else needs it.

a lightning bolt should do the trick. Such as the one fired from the lightning blade which can be found in the same area.

Follow up - Any clue on getting the power crystal on the top level of the mines? Or possibly on accessing the three locked gates on second level? Alternatively (or in addition), clue on finding the third Mine Key?

I feel stupid asking so many question, but I've spent well over two hours in this place now, clearly my brain's messing something up

I am stuck at the same point. I've (mostly) cleared Crystal Mine Entrance and CM Abyss, but CM Core baffles me. Several doors I can't open and not much else to do. Also, any idea what the "Forge of the fallen stars" does?

can make a pretty awesome heavy hammer from the meteor seen by "The Left Eye" and "The Right Eye"(hopefully you marked their exact location on the map and know where to dig)

Took me a looong time to figure it out too, I got it by complete accident after running out of ideas. Notice how on the second floor you can't walk everywhere. But there are some paths across from you that you can see but not go to. Well pay attention, and on one of those is a Pressure Plate you can throw something onto

can you point where exactly? even with your clue i can't find it..

what do you mean the left eye and the right eye? I'm in the crystal mines right now and staring at the forge of the fallen stars not knowing what to do with it and I don't remember ever seeing or reading anything about a left and right eye, one statue said 20 gems of power at the path of enlightenment or something but that's all i can think of....also there's a chest on the first floor of the crystal mines (right after first mine key) and it doesn't seem reachable, there's no path to it.

The left and right eye statues are outside in the world in two separate areas, not in the mine itself. It isn't something you have to complete to progress.
