Grimrock

i might be really blind here but this puzzle has got me stuck. im trapped in this dungeon, everything else i've managed to find is cleared except this room. its a big ass smooth stone on a 2x2 grid. and a pressure plate nearby will light up 3 of the grid blue, and one of the grid red. logicly it means i should be able to move the stone somehow, but i cant.

i've tried attacking, casting spells, moving into it, placing items all over the 2x2. no effect =( help?

Don't worry i did the same for like 10 minutes. The fact that the symbol on it looks like one of the spell casting runes really confused me.
