does nothing as far as I can tell in inventory or equipped.

Are you sure it's the regular compass (just named 'compass') you're talking about? Because that one works as expected, it points in the direction your party is facing. There is another compass in the game that doesn't work like a normal compass however.

doh - the compass itself shows the direction. So obvious.

very useful when you encounter teleport puzzles that spin you around as the compass will tell you which way is north

the compass i think is mainly for old school mode where you dont have an in game map.

Indeed it is. After all, How can you draw a map, if you don't know which way is north? Also there are some puzzles that use North, East, South, and West as dirrections, and on Old School Mode, you can't just open your map and see figure it out on thatjffr363 wrote:the compass i think is mainly for old school mode where you dont have an in game map.
