Website hangs in Firefox

When I visit
http://www.grimrock.net/ in Firefox 31.0 under OpenSUSE 13.1, the browser becomes completely unresponsive after about half a minute.
Opera Version 12.16 Build 1860 doesn't have this problem.
The forums work fine in both Firefox and Opera.

Firefox 31.0 for Windows does not have that problem, so ..

Are you using any extensions that might add to, or cripple scripting on the websites you visit?

I've disabled all add-ons, and the slowdown still happens.
I guess I'll submit a bug report to the Firefox developers.
