Can someone assist with getting across the gap right where it says Mage's entrance? Ive thrown a weapon over the gap but the statue returns fire. Whole level seems explored save this spot, anyone know? Thanks

Do you remember the item you found in the wall right next to it?

I used fireball with mage, but there was a fire bomb in the wall so I guess that should work too.

I appreciate the tip but I still seem stuck. I don't have fireball, though If I knew the runes I could learn it since I have a high fire stat. I'm concerned because I already threw a shuriken across the gap to land on the plate. The statue spit fire once and will not anymore. I've tried tossing fire grenades across but it doesn't seem to do anything. Any more suggestions?

When I saw "Mage entrance" I fired a fireball at the statue and that closed the gap. I would guess any mage missle will work, since players can go any magic skill not just fire.

You find runes for fireball spell in the next room

If you're completely unable to cast fire spells (like myself), there is a blade of fire opposite the fireball rune scroll that shoots fireballs - though it has limited charges. Attack with the blade while facing the statue across the gap to proceed.
