Mahrics room - missing one gem. got three green from room, yellow from puzzle, two blue from eyes, one purple from alcove. any hints welcomed. Tried to search whole library several times, but no sucess :/

There's a note that says:
From the eyes of the daemon
Where the light shines on the wall
A mark can be discovered
For all that search the hall
This hints at where the red gem is hidden. (Obviously, make sure there are torches in near holders if you have picked any, so that the "where the light shines on the wall" part has some light to work with)

In addition to Diarmuid's point...
I'm pretty sure that "where the light shines on the wall" will only actually be visible if you have the graphics settings set to high. But that doesn't prevent you from searching the general area anyway - the light is a hint but you can find it on low settings.

Hello guys, I'm actually stuck in Marhric's room.
The "arcade" puzzle makes me crazy
did you have any hint to finish this puzzle please?
I'm actually trying to modify the position of the "lever", while the colored ball are falling, but there is no way to do that.
the "lever" should be placed in a correct order, before starting the game?
please help

I imagine you refer to the puzzle of the falling marbles.
Yup, must be solved to go on and Yup, the levers should be placed in a correct order, before starting the game.
It's actually easy to solve iteratively..
- Change the levers so that the first ball goes in the right place.
- See what you need to change to get the second ball in the right place.
- Iterate this over and over (actually you just need to do it for 4 marbles IIRC and it magically works for the others)
