Hey Guys,
I tried to implement new animation with the Legend of Grimrock modding tool,
I used the Animation of simple wall_buttons and copied them to a lock (e.g. golden_lock), to make a nice suprise for players (WHERE THE HELL IS THE KEY...Oh i just have had to click ON the lock) ;)
But that did not work as intended. Can anyone help me?

Greetings

Yeah, you must change the name of the mesh node inside GMT.
Load your lock into gmt.
Under the tab 'nodes' you´ll find a pulldown-menu, choose the mesh that should be your button.
Change the name to: ' button_mesh ' and press "update node"
Now the animation finds the mesh it should use. This name is stored in the animation file.

Now you have to position the animation and the model to the right place.
In gmt, too.

But don't forget to give a good hint to this lock-button. Otherwise you could provocate a heck of frustrations because nobody is able to open your door. Pressing on an lock is truly nothing someone expects and therefore a good kind of riddle - but because nobody expects it, it could also be a progress-killer...

Mhm, I planned to use on a Iron door like those in the Original Game. So it does not block process neither frustrats too much (I hope you are all not such perfectionist like i sometimes am) ;)

if you renamed the node correctly, and apply the animation to it, the mesh
will immediately move to the position the animation was built.
Zoom out, rotate in GMT to find mesh while animation applied.
You need to reposition the animation and the mesh to your new position!

If you have probs to find your mesh, turn off backface culling.

So you mean i did everything correctly if i renamed to button_mesh, but the animation is just "somewhere in the big blue Space" ?
on my 9 blocks/cells field i can only see a little cube, a framecube.
