Level 4 pit treasure

Greetings,

I managed to clear the entire level 4 and got the gearshaped key for the goodies behind the gear door, but I cannot figure out how to get into the one room on the level 4 sublevel (where you get if you jump into the pit on level 4). The room giving me trouble is locked by a gate and from the gate you can see a lit torch and some sort of platemail chest armor lying on the ground.

Did anyone figure this one out?

The key is a little complicated to get. First solve trials of thought, then before grabbing the scroll and heading through the portal back up and keep an eye out for a button on the right. Click it and run forward. Move forward quickly and once the pits appear on the left and right, look left. Notice the pits are closed. walk on them quickly and click the button on the wall. You will notice the portal in the center of the room will disappear and a pit will open. Fall in it and claim the key.

I am here, because i too couldnt open the irongate in the pits of level 4 with the torch and the platemail behind it...so if anyone has an answer...

You can't access this area from level 4 nor 5. You'll be able to reach it from level 6.

the scrolls collected are the key,the main portal room has some alcoves,theres also some writing as clues on the walls around the alcoves

that should be enough clues for you
