I'm doing something else - while playing. So no, that doesn't work.

No. Just, no. They need to add volume control into the game. This isn't a flash game you play for 15 minutes, where having only a mute button is ok.

They must have forgot to add it, there's no reason to decide "let's not add a simple volume adjustment, because who needs that anyway!". My ears blow out every time I open the game.

I totally agree with that. Volume control should be added.

Windows 7 allows you to specify the volume for each application, so you can adjust it there in the mean time. (if you have Win7 of course!)

People largely agree on the the original thread that its not such a important feature request compared to other things on the list we want

Separate volume for music at the main menu would be good.
Whenever I quit the game the main menu music is about twice the volume of the actual game sound effects.

I use Alt+F4 to exit the game, it's the quickest way!
