Hit ESC ingame and select "Tutorial" from the menu.Kenshin-dono wrote:i would have liked some kind of tutorial.
LoG is a mouse-driven game where everything is operated and/or used with your left and right mouse buttons and the location you click or drag at.
Either right-click it or drag it onto a hungry character's portrait.Kenshin-dono wrote:I dont even get how food works.

Re: dex and mages?
thanks. I knew about the tutorial but its very minimilist. More like a mini manual actuallly.
as for the food question... i mean what does it do? It doesn't heal or anything. In fact i cant figure out how to heal at all. Also since the initial question was about mages. Whats with the crazy amount of fizzling i do in the game? what stat reduces that?

"What does food do" is a pretty strange question; hard to imagine somebody needs to tell you.Kenshin-dono wrote:as for the food question... i mean what does it do? It doesn't heal or anything.
Hungry characters can't regenerate health and energy on their own so they need to eat food.
To heal you canKenshin-dono wrote:In fact i cant figure out how to heal at all.
1) eat food and rest/wait to regenerate by yourself
2) touch a crystal
3) drink a healing potion
Spellcasting requires a mage to know which rune combination represent what spell and a fizzle indicates that your mage tried to cast a rune combination that does not represent a spell. In other words: he gibbered nonsense.Kenshin-dono wrote:Also since the initial question was about mages. Whats with the crazy amount of fizzling i do in the game? what stat reduces that?

Re: dex and mages?
It's a fair question because many games treat food as a sort of healing potion lite - you eat something and get a small amount of health back. Hunger bars aren't nearly as common nowadays as they were in the original dungeon crawler era.Dr.Disaster wrote: "What does food do" is a pretty strange question; hard to imagine somebody needs to tell you.

Very true, a large portion of modern games use it as the sole healing source. (Ex. Dead Rising)Neutronium Dragon wrote:It's a fair question because many games treat food as a sort of healing potion lite - you eat something and get a small amount of health back.
