I want to know where everyone got LoG.

Did you just buy it from steam?
Or maybe you got it from one of the Humble Indie Bundles?
Or did you get it from GoG?
Or did you just buy the stand alone version directly through LoG's website?

Short answer: Steam

Long answer:
I was looking around on MMORPG.com, searching for something to start playing after a few years hiatus from gaming, and everyone on the forums was talking about Steam. So I looked up Steam to see what it was and saw Legend of Grimrock on there, and thought I would really like to try that game. But with no demo I hesistated buying it because I am never sure what will run on my computer. About a month later my brother was visiting, who is more computer literate than I am, and he said it should run but I would need low settings, then pointed out it was on sale for less than $8.00 so it was a no brainer to pick it up.

I have to say I have about 15 hours on the actual game itself, but 3 - 4 times that playing on the editor / mods. I definitely got my moneys worth on it, and will likely pick up Legend of Grimrock 2 when it is released (if system specs don't increase too much).

I bought it on Steam immediately as I saw it available there. I got hyped like Hell from watching the trailer and screenshots and wasn't disappointed. Best game of 2012 IMO, with Skyrim as close second.

I picked up my first copy in the release week on Steam, I'm fairly certain.
I had just signed up to Steam shortly before that. Talk about good timing.
I was able to browse a lot of the pre-release hype before buying.
Having never played any of the old tile based games it was listed akin to, I was pretty confident it was going to be a refreshing new experience for my enjoyment.
I played through it once with great enjoyment. I didn't touch it very much again until September, when in a leap of faith and desired, I googled "Grimrock Level Editor" and found out that it was entering beta testing.
Been pretty glued to the game and this community ever since.
I've bought seven more copies of the game, mostly on sale. When there were no sales, I would only purchase directly from Almost Human.

The only complaint I had in the game was having little to know desire to play it over again (due to a really powerful memory that makes repeating a puzzle very boring for me)
But then the editor came out, and I have been having countless hours of fun since.

Short version, HIB and gog.com.

3 actual places though, through this site, then gog, then when it was part of the HIB.

To be honest, I pirated it first to ensure it worked under wine on my linux box. I know that's shitty to do, but I believe I've paid enough to make up for my "test". =)

I hope the new version includes a Mac/Linux release so I don't have to do that again.

In my personal opinion, that form of piracy is fine and good.
To test with intention to buy is a very understandable reason for piracy.

The minute it went on pre-release at GoG.com I snapped it up. I've also bought copies for family members and friends and gifted them through GoG. :)
