Thank you from the bottom of my heart

for making this game. I am a 27 year old gamer who does not find much pleasure in games these days. Upon seeing this game on sale recently, I picked it up as I was excited to play it when it first hit the store, but I had other interests to follow at the time. Now that I have purchased and played it fully, I am happy and exhausted. My childhood consisted of trying to crack games like Might and Magic: Gates to Another World, Might and Magic 6: Mandate of Heaven, Dungeons and Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun, and other various related dungeon crawling like RPGS. This game certainly has had my attention, I played it over my christmas vacation, and even with 11 days completely free of responsibility, I found myself still playing this game well after my vacation was over. The simplicity left me to truly focus on the puzzles, and the system was deep enough to allow me to play the game according to my strategy. I am a firm believer of quality over quantity, as long as it is not over polished as most games these days are. I have never been a fan of reading endless amounts of meaningless text as in the Bioware designs, nor have I felt much enjoyment of the time consuming grind of asian RPGS.
At four o'clock in the morning I want to offer you my gratitude for making such an excellent game, now I shall wearily stumble into my bedroom with a sigh knowing I can now play the game again and min-max for a second helping of a REAL CURRENT GEN DUNGEON CRAWLER. Thank you, thank you, thank you!~
P.S. I had M&M2 for my whole childhood, from age 7 to today, I beat it when I was 20. I still love it, and it took me over a decade of playing it until I finally matured enough to beat it.

Now you can try some of the high quality mods fans have been making! Probably the best one so far is Mine of Malan Vael, but a few others are also good quality and lengthy enough to satisfy

I agree with Kahmos. Grimrock was great and i got from almost human which consist of few developers the same or maybe more fun than i got from modern games developed by huge teams.

I agree with this. People dismissing LoG as retro have missed the point. Games were never better than in the 80s and 90s, and AH have just gone back to something that worked instead of insisting on doing things that don`t. Personally I`m tired of pointless 3d, like in Oblivion/Skyrim, where you have to ride for 15 minutes before doing something, then ride for 5 minutes and do something else. And where have the puzzles gone in RPG?
I`d take endless clones of EotB, Lands of Lore and Dungeon Master, as well as Baldur`s Gate, over all the flashy graphics in the world.

Hello Legend of Grimrock Team,
i just want to thank you for your work. I love your game. Bought it right after availability, as pre-order-costumer. Satisfied Costumer ; )
Be one of the older Players here, grew up with the first "Dungeon Master" and there are deep Childhood-Memories connected with this Game.
Thank You.

Steam tells me I have played this game for 464 hours.
I think that counts as a thank you
I have a great deal of fun with the base game, but what really got me to buy even more copies of the game was the introduction of the Dungeon Editor. This modding community has filled me with such a sense of purpose that money can't buy.
What a terrific experience it has been finding this game!

410 hours here. At least 300 are dungeon editing hours, I'm pretty sure.

Ok, it's time. I keep looking at this thread and thinking I need to post something - even tho I don't have 1100 hours in it yet
LoG game has captured my imagination again
Thank you for that. It means a huge lot!
