Old Dungeoneers Questions

Post by fixit9660 »

Now I'm feeling OLD! God this takes me back to "Eye of the Beholder". Now I'm married and my 23 yeard old daughter is interested!
Can someone please save me a lot of trouble?
Can I assume that this can be played by 3 people on the same network? If so do I need three separate installs of it please? (The wife might alos be intrested....).
Can I download it to play?
Thanks all.

I think you need three copies of the game. I download games from Steam. I think each player in your family should have their own Steam account (at least for each computer it runs on if not for the same user).

I have 2 computers with the game downloaded from Steam, but only one at a time can play under the same Steam login ID.

Steam maintains updates which is handy, but it also keeps sw running on each users computer which you might not like. See the LOG Home page for place you can buy the game. A Standalone version is available directly from the developers Almost Human.

so in a nutshell, you can play one purchase on three different computers if you have them all install steam and run the same steam account, and only one can play the game at a time.

or you can buy three of the game and have separate steam accounts and then all three could play at the same time

With LoG currently being 50% off in the Steam X-Mas Sales you can't go wrong ;)

Aye, 3 accounts for you, wife and daughter. You can buy Log straight from Steam too for yourself and as gifts for wife and daughter if you want to have their current x-mas discount.

Or have Steam in Off-Line mode.

But Humble Bundle also gives you the executable, so you don't necessarily HAVE to go through Steam. I'm obviously not advocating software piracy, but if you're playing a game you purchased on more than one computer, it just helps to know what you can or cannot do.

If you'd like to play the same save file on any of these computers, then have the game on one computer, and have a network share set up so you can play on the other computers.
