Simple large grid for mapping

Post by Grogg »

Hey guys,

I will be mapping my own dungeon this afternoon and I wanted to make sure I had plenty of room. So I made a simple, quick grid in autocad and I thought I'd share it with anyone who might get use from it.

The grid is 11x17 with a grid spacing of 1/4". There are no borders or space for notes. This is simply as much grid as I could fit on the paper for maximum work space.

Here are the links If you find them useful.

Blackline Grid

Halftone Grid

Halftone with Notes

EDIT: Added a version with space for dungeon level and notes. Still just a large, simple version.

Someone already made a similar thing- but still, thank you for your effort.

My apologies. I saw the black and white version of the official grid, which is awesome. I just wanted as much space as possible. I didn't see any others, must have missed it.

I may do another version that has a border and space for notes later.

No need, I like yours just fine. Lots of grid and that is all that really matters for map paper. If you want to make notes just use the half tone and write in blank spots in dark ink. I will probably be printing some out shortly in fact.
