Ravanni's Dungeon: The Demo: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =110636448
After the destruction of Grimrock Mountain, a number of other smaller dungeons were brought back into use. You are prisoners to the Lord Tethis Ravanni. The room you are cast into, merely one of his many cells. But perhaps there is more here than meets the eye.
Ravanni's Dungeon Demo is a short 3 level dungeon. Jam packed with monsters, puzzles, and even an ogre who talks to you! In total there are 17 secret rooms to find, in addition to the main story. The mod even features a custom soundtrack to set the mood, and spiders!
--
If you guys have a little time you can spend running through the dungeon I'd absolutely love some feedback. It's much easier to continue working on this when I know I'm on the right track. I'm also keen to hear bug reports, and feedback on a range on subjects:
How long did the dungeon take you?
How did you find the difficulty of the puzzles?
How did you find the difficulty of monsters/loot?
How many secret rooms did you find?
As well as anything else you feel appropriate.
[Also hi I'm new here, good to meet you.]

Oho! I think I'm gonna like it here!
Also, I understand I can put custom sounds into the game, is anybody avaiable to voice act for an ogre..?

Hi and welcome.
I played this, here are my responses
How long did the dungeon take you?
played it for about 1 hour and 30min, didn't finish it.
How did you find the difficulty of the puzzles?
its good, you leave clues and stuff that are nice
How did you find the difficulty of monsters/loot?
How many secret rooms did you find?
didn't count, but some, about 5-10
Here are my thoughst.
You should finish this, there is something going on here that I like.
The music is good, more than good in fact and it adds to the atmoshpere.
Skeletons seem to be the dominant monster here, a few snails and spiders also.
After a while the party starts to get really hungry, you can find sem beatles on the upper floor, and the snails drop food
but spiders and skeletons don't, so I was missing alot on the fighters since they didn't have enough food.
The fact that I didn't finish was that I couldn't free the ogre, I had found one key and was at the part where you can drop the skeleton groups down the pits by opening and closing with the lever. I placed the key for some reason on one of the alters inside the "cell". Then I opened up the pits and jumped down, killed some skeletons and got up the stairs, but didn't find something to close the pits again, and the key was stuck in the alter on the other side, maybe its a bug, maybe I just missed something.

Thank you for your feedback, you said some very kind things and I'm overjoyed that you enjoyed the mod enough to play as far as you did. Have you considered upvoting or favouriting the mod on the Steam Workshop?
Are the food shortages debilitating or challenging? If they put pressure on you without making you want to quit I'm inclined to leave them as they are. On the other hand if they frustrate you to the point of anger I'll add more food.
You're absolutely right that the pits can only be closed there from one side. So if you fall down you can't close them once you get back up. That's an oversight on my part. I'll fix that right away.
I've had a look at the altars you refer to, unfortunately I can't recreate the but you found. Placing a key on them I'm perfectly able to pick it back up, I'm a little lost on this one, but I fear it may be something on your side. I'll double check when I fix the pits.
The puzzle you're referring to is deceptively simple.
Warning: Clue
The clue given in the room is:
"The world must be protected from dangerous things.
Wouldn't you agree pilgrim?
These cells were to be filled by our most atavistic weapons.
Dangerous things, locked away"
The word atavistic is roughly synonymous with words like primal, or ancestral.
If you're still struggling let me know and I'll give you the solution. (Wait for me to update the mod first of course, should be coming within the hour.)

No I just left it there for some strange reason, and fell down the pit, there is no bug with the altars, just that I was unable to get the key back since there is no way to close the pits back up again.

That's alright then!
I fixed the skeleton pit. If you fall down there you're almost certainly going to die. However if you fight like crazy there is a way out and back up, which still gives you control over the trap doors.
There's another trap door you'll experience soon which you must'n't jump down. I noticed it while I was fixing this one. I plan to fix it tomorrow but I fear I'll have to learn timers and possibly ask the forums for some scripting help to get precisely the effect I need. If you avoid pits until I've fixed it you'll be fine, and the game plays fine.
Once again, thank you for your feedback.
Edit: I don't think I'll get time to sort it out today, but it's on my list!

Thanks Neikun, I'll get in touch with him once I've finished working out what I need from the character!
