[OPEN] A "One Level" round robin

Taking a cue from the "One Room" thread (a great idea!), I propose a larger, but more basic concept: Eight levels, one level each.

Concept: Create a map together where each designer creates only one level.

Rules:

Sign up for one level below, with one being the entrance, descending to eight (the exit).

Custom scripts are OK, but keep to the original tile sets, items and monsters.

Pits are OK, but make a way back up and try not to cramp the next level too much.

Stay to the wall set outlined for each level below (remember if you make a pit on level 4 or 6).

Try to make the final steps down near the edge of the map.

Design for a new party, and consider the difficulty for how far the party has advanced.

Take up to one week per level and send the file to the next person in line.

A text plate with your name or other statement is optional.

1. (Dungeon - Entrance)
2. (Dungeon)
3. (Dungeon) Asteroth
4. (Dungeon)
5. (Prison) Jaymann
6. (Prison)
7. (Temple)
8. (Temple - Exit)

That's all I can think of for now, but open to questions or ideas.

Floor three might be nice. But how big? And okay, I've also just started on my first dungeon.

Similar idea is under construction since several weeks. Check it out:

I agree that this should probably wait until after the other frankendungeon thing is done, not to divide resources/talent/efforts

In the same respect, as we already have two community dungeons as well as a contest dungeon on the go,
we must ask ourselves if the community on the forums is large enough for a third community project.
I personally think not.

I don't see a problem with this, given the limited scope. I certainly invite new/first time modders to give it a shot.

Size is totally up to you. In fact, variety of size sounds good to me.

As the guy that got the ball rolling on the CFD which I think is really looking promising. A lot of work has gone into it And for the contest dungeon ("see my sig") i think even if only 3 ppl participate it's worth it imo and I'm willing to put up the prizes.

as for this project, I like that it aims at the newer modders to show up to our little community.
