Hey all, just found out about this game, looks awesome!
I see if I buy it directly, you get to play now? Is that right? Or do you have to wait till the 11th? THX in advance.

It wouldn't be much of a preorder if you got to play it now..

If he is playing a preorder, then I want one of them, you can have this one back.

Nope, you have to wait till the 11th like all the people not lucky enough to be in the 'press' that got early copies.
Its worth it to pre-order from them directly though.
20% discount, stand-alone installer, steam key, and some extras to keep you occupied (everyone gets the extras when the game comes out though I believe).
Quite enjoyed the little story they give you in the game manual's opening pages.

Shame we can't have 1 day earlier access for pre-ordering the game... I mean just think about the reduced server load!

Ahh, how alpha releases like Minecraft have spoiled us.

Thank you, I asked this because it said when I went to buy it you got immediate access to play it. At least thats how it reads to buy it direct.

I'd rather they keep this style of development, to be honest.
Didn't enjoy Minecraft's "Buy now to get an unfinished game" bit at all.

It's honestly not a bad strategy for some of the more sandbox type games. For a cheaper price you're just paying to have more toys added over time.
However, for any game involving good narrative or handcrafted experiences I'd definitely agree with you. Most games just shouldn't be released until they're finished.

Hmmm. Yeah, I suppose it does make sense when it's for a more sandbox world.
