I remember that DM2 had "utility disk" where you could even draw portraits to the game.

Can you add/replace portrait graphics in GR? Substitute vanilla pictures with nice photos for example.

As the FAQs say this is not possible yet, but it could be added later.

This is a FAQ. The developers are considering adding it in an update.

OK, I see. I gather that the portraits are not just .gifs or .jpgs in some visible folder..

I hope they can add it on the first patch!

Hear hear. Should be pretty easy to implement. (I think!)

This would also be my top feature after a map editor. I have plenty of good net art that can cropped as required for the portraits.

It would be nice if we could change out portraits.
