Black Crypt

Most of you probably know Dungeon Master, but I doubt all of you know Black Crypt, mostly because it was an Amiga-only game and the very first game ever created by Raven Software. ;)
After DM, this one was my all-time-favorite game of this type, in some ways much better then DM, in some ways not so much, but definitely right there at the very top among the BEST dungeon crawlers. 8-)
If you enjoyed Grimrock, and you obviously wouldn't be here if you didn't, do yourself a favor and try this one too. :ugeek:

And, since not many of those who had an Amiga back then are freaks like me who still use the real thing, there's a wonderful thing called WinUAE that you can run it on, OR, try the preconfigured ready-to-play single-click Amiga version from TheCompany.pl :)

(some antiviruses may give you a false-positive alert, but just white-list it, there's no virus in there)

I know the game. In fact the only contact i had with dungeon crawlers was this and Star Trail ( witch is not a pure dungeon crawler).
A good game.

I am thorned now: play legend of grimrock for the second time, play wizardry 8, or play this. :x

Yeah, great game. Was considerably 'trickier' than DM but just as good. Started playing it again with WinUAE x64, runs great using the ADF's found here.

Black crypt (1992)(electronic arts)[o](disk 1 of 3)
Black crypt (1992)(electronic arts)[o](disk 2 of 3)
Black crypt (1992)(electronic arts)[o](disk 3 of 3)
Black crypt (1992)(electronic arts)[save disk]

Just load all four disks into the floppy drives and write-protect all but disk 4 (Save Disk) and you're off. :)

I have not owned a floppy drive since Bill Clinton was President... good info though.

WinUAE uses virtual floppy disk drives. You assign each ADF to a disk drive, it's as simple as that.

Yep, good game that. Speaking of kiting though, last monster was too easy as I recall.
