Approximately how big is Grimrock? As on, about how many levels?

IIRC, 13 levels.

not too bad really, once there is a map editor then that will increase
but 13 levels is pretty decent

Eye of the Beholder was 12 levels, I think?
Of course, EOB2 was much larger.

The next question is "What are the dimensions of a typical level?"

Here's the map screen, so if each level is about the size of each page, then there's your answer. Looks like about 40x40 tiles to me.

... you have to click the link to see it, and immediately after I have "here's the map screen" written. I mean, really? Are spoiler tags necessary? And I mean, come on, it's not like it reveals anything particularly interesting other than the interface itself.

The grid map in the goodies is 42 X 46, so I'd say that is a possibility.

So we're looking at a 8-12 hours of gameplay depending on the time you take to level, explore, drool around

Replay value seems cool too!
