Grimrock

Hi I am in a room where is written on scroll put torches on walls and where the shadows intersect throw rock to north and east. Please help. i put three torches on walls but only two shadows from two pillars intersect on one place. when you stand before the gate its north, north, north, west. Here they connect together but when i throw the rock to east and north nothing happens. Can you help? In best case write lets say that i am standing in front of the gate and where i should go.

Not sure what the problem is. For me it worked when I stood on the spot where 2 shadows cross and threw one rock to the east and then one rock to the north. Then a secret door opened in the room. Possible issues:

- Throw rock east first and then north. Not other way around.
- Try different spots
- Actually throw the rocks. Put them on characters hand and right click them.

Well i also stood on place where two shadows met but it didnt work. Well other question is that i see TWO spots where shadows meets-there are two spots so where to stand? Can you exactly describe me the spot where you stood by saying how you can get there when you are standing in front of the gate behind your back? Write for ex N,N,N,E - it means go three times to north and one to east. Thanks

It is the area marked "28". If I'm not mistaken you have to stand on sixth square from the east and second square from the north (in that room).

The following spoiler is just a game mechanic, not really spoiling the puzzle but fixed it for me.
