How many times did you play the game?

I am just curious about this, and also: what did you do to vary your playthrough. I have played the game two and half times, one with a default two warriors, a rogue and a mage party, another one to get the toorum mode unlocked, with minotaur rogue, unarmed fighter, mage and warrior, and a half with toorum (swords, heavy armor) then I got bored on level VI. I really want to play another time but I fear I may just get bored again. Need help.

Two play throughs on hard mode:
First time I went with a fighter/rogue/mage/mage group.
Second time I went with a fighter/rogue/rogue/mage composition.
I mainly played a 2nd run to see how much more powerful two rogues would be compared to two mages.

Well it's a linear, scripted single-player experience so you are bound to get bored at some point. I've completed it (or reached the last part) 6 times I think and I've abandoned one Toorum mage run (yeah, that was a bad idea) and I barely feel like playing anymore although I have a game under way still.
I've tried a few things during this time. I wasn't really interested in any weird stuff (like Minotaur mages or going heavily into support skills) so I just played with different weapons and spells to check them out. The main problem I have when I try to play now is that I NEED a ranged rogue to feel like I'm killing things fast enough
Melee can actually output more raw dps but there are a bunch of mobs you'd rather keep your distance from (slimes, ogres, Goromorgs).

I've surprised myself that I am not bored yet.. Though I've only beaten the game to the end cinematic once, the first time. I usually stop right before the end on every other play through. Basically I like to try out different builds for different groups. The goal is really only to reach level 13-14 and to be at the end. I try to perfect certain builds in some respects. I have done it on hard once, and old school a few times. But I find normal mode to be the best testing grounds.
My first play through was standard, two fighters a rogue and a mage.
My second play through I decided to go with a Rogue tank, though mid way through it I changed my mind about things and started over. Just around level 7 Ancient Chambers. When I remade the Rogue tank I tried Light Armor and Unarmed, worked out very well, in fact he was tougher than my Fighter. This play through I had 3 rogues and 1 Fighter.
After that I did it with Toorum.
The 4th run, I tried my rogues build on a fighter, going for Light Armor and Unarmed, he turned out better than the rogue and has been my best character so far. Again, no Mage.
The last run I went for a very tanky Insectoid, going for 35 Armors, 33 axes. A rogue tank, and a very well built fire mage.
Right now, I'm in the process of testing out a Mage tank. So far so good.
Here is my best mage, and my best Fighter.
32 Fire, 22 Spellcraft
5 Athletics, 8 Armors, 50 Unarmed.
So yeah, I've kept myself very entertained with just trying different builds and perfecting them to my best ability.

My first two playthroughs (normal and hard) I played the same build (warrior, warrior, ranged rogue, ice mage) and then my speedrun I actually did almost the exact same build except the ranged rogue was melee instead.

2 times so far.
2nd:
4 human mages, each with his element.
Skilled" trait for everybody
Second traits were +2 endurance for the front guys and +2 wisdom for the back row
First row were my Wind and Earth mages, and obviously they were training their elements + staff defense, and the back row - Fire and Ice - were training their elements + sorcery
And holy hell the micro management was fun XD
I remember throwing rocks just so my earth mage ("Bob the Boris" was his name fyi) could get full experience vs skeletons

So far two full playthroughs.
First full playthrough: 3 rogues + mage: offensive monk, cutthroat, axe thrower and air/ice wizard;
Second full playthrough: 3 rogues + mage: defensive monk, cleric*, axe thrower and archer (this time mage in first row);
Third playthrough: party made with Random Party Generator
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2559&start=10#p26648 (depth 4 atm);
Forth playthrough: Toorum (depth 3 atm).
Plus at least five parties I haven't found really inspiring and gave up about depth 5
I think this Random Party Generator was somewhat refreshing. Especially since I've rolled Minotaur Mage without a single point added to Willpower. At least she rolled Strong Mind as a trait.
Also some temporary break from a given game (like a month or two) is good thing to not get bored too fast.
* A front line mage who can do some tanking, cast Light and Hold Person

I've only played twice, once with a standard party (but customized) and afterwards an all-insectoid party with 1 fighter, one axe throwing rogue, and two mages on hard difficulty. Going all insectoid was fun, but I want to return to my punchy minotaur on my next playthrough.

Two times through, once on normal, regular, once on hard, oldschool.
Can't force myself to toorum it AGAIN, maybe a little later.
