Official Legend of Grimrock character portrait background

Post by juho »

Here's the background that is used in the original portraits for those who want consistent looks.

Grab the .TGA version here: http://www.grimrock.net/extras/portraits_background.tga

EDIT by Sir Tawmis:
The above path no longer works.

I converted the official one to PNG and uploaded it here:

Thanks for the background, i used it to play a little bit around with PS to make my own Portrait for LoG.
First I thought I could make something like the portraits of DM1, with simple border to the pic:

Then i go further and wanted to add some effects like Glas to it:

At last i deciced to give my own Portrait little more than a simple Border:

However, this last one was good enough to use it as an ingame Portrait for my Champion, and also i decided, to use thisone as my Forum-Avatar

Again, many thanks for the background image, i had a good use of it.
I know it is unlikely, that anyone ever wants to use my Pic as a Portrait in LoG (there are really a lot of amazing other Portraits, and probably much better than mine, i.e like the ones of Wizardy8) but notheless, if anyone wants to use it, feel free to use it (but then give me credits of course  )
