To Whom It May Concern

I came here to thank the folks who created this game, from all of us old Dungeon Master fans that always wanted more.
The game is a near perfect balance of puzzles and action, it is what "Chaos" or "Dungeon Master 2" should have been but failed to deliver.

A suggestion, there should be some warning in the dungeon or storyline to prepare for the poison on level 3, it was a showstopper for me on my first run... not that I couldn't hack/save/load/hack my way through, I just felt too weak to continue and that it might be easier to restart and prepare, which I did and had no trouble on my return.

Thanks again, still working on beating it (on level 7), savoring every moment... lights low, Grateful Deal playing and my favorite accessories, Coffee and _ _ _ _. (you fill in the blanks)

Funny, level 3 nearly killed the game for me too. I am glad that I started again and gave it a second chance, but can't help thinking about how many people did actually quit at level 3.
I would think that they may be tempted to have another go at sometime in the future, and see for themselves that it's not all spiders and poison, and also that there are things that you can do to get you past these crawly's with very little effort.

Level 3 was tough, I persevered and got through though. Some of today's players aren't used to difficulty the same as older players, I suspect some would die a time or then quit which is pretty sad. :(

LoG certainly is old school in many ways. :)

Daniel.

I did not see a prob in level 3 ? yes I got poisoned a few times but poison is kinda weak .. in Eye of the Behlolder poison meant, finding a cure posion potion or die (or later on cleric spell)

Here it just "wears off" while sleeping...

This game can be incredibly stealthy in the way it warns players of incoming threats. Those anti-venom potions and scrolls to make anti-venom potions were your clues.

Yeah, not to sound like I'm bragging, but I thought the game was a little too easy. I am only 24 so I never played the games it is based off of, but I was expecting to get my ass kicked. That is why I just assumed I had to reload when a character died when really the crystals revive them, something I never even utilized. I even refrained from using them sometimes because it wasn't clear if it was limited or not.

If you had fun with LoG and want a more challenging game, check out good old Chaos Strikes Back (expansion pack to Dungeon Master). :)

You can sleep poison off. I don't think I ever needed an antidote.

Yeah in level 3 I just backtracked a few times to the Crystal of Life and was good to go. It's not too far, maybe a 20 second run.
