Into The Dark - Kickstarter - Action-Oriented Dungeon Crawler RPG

Post by Esenthel »

First of all let me start by saying that I absolutely love Legend of Grimrock! I've completed 1st one, great job guys, an amazing game! Started 2nd, but didn't have the time to play more so far, busy with work and life :P I'm also a big fan of Dungeon Master 1 & 2 (completed them several times in the past).

Now I wanted to share with you my own take on dungeon crawlers, but my game is more action oriented.

I've called it "Into The Dark" and I'm running a kickstarter for it, please support and share if you like what you see :)

What's your opinion about it?
I'd really love to hear some feedback please.
Also if anyone knows what's the best way to promote a game, please let me know, need some help.
Thank you very much :)

Is there anything else to do beside killing monsters?

There are 3 modes in the game:
-16 level hand-designed dungeon with puzzles
-random dungeons
-level editor to make your own

Also, you can level up your characters, learn magic, get cool gear.

What are you looking for in a game? :)

I like having puzzles in a game. And something interesting to explore. Also a backstory is always nice.

It does look pretty cool. How can there be "hundreds" of monsters? They must all fight pretty much the same? I would rather have fewer with more distinct behavior. Are all the tons of models made elsewhere? I like the approach of having a hand-crafted dungeon and also a random generator. Having a story background and some lore and readables would be a big plus for a lot of people.

If you need help with a backstory - let me know. :) Writing is what I do to silence the voices in my head.
When the first LoG didn't have much of a backstory - I decided to write my own.
