you then have to use the master key in one or (2 ) lock and by doing this very action, it removes the wall with the 1st button behind (at ' 1 'in the other map). Another thing is that the removable walls contains enemies (mages), and since i like to give these guys a ride for their money, i chose the 'click' path :)

i think i'm getting mad, put simply

One thing for sure is that if you go straight to the key once in the corridor, you get the 'click' (remove walls & stuff) everytime. Maybe going backwards at some point breaks something, but it"s just a guess, i guess :?
When “the click works,” you are trapped inside the corridor and have to overcome a series of battles, use the key on several locks, and press several buttons to get the wall that trapped you in the endless corridor to open again.

When “the click doesn't work,” you can simply take the key and leave the endless hallway by the same route you entered.

Do you have a save game just before entering the endless corridor? Try skipping the walls with the console to get to the key as quickly as possible and see if you hear the “click.” Also try fighting, going back, sleeping, fighting, going back, sleeping, etc., and then see if the click works.

My first game was a disaster in terms of combat in this mod (the reason why would be hard to believe, but it was related to my lack of knowledge of the mechanics of this mod xD). In my first game, I played with weapons that were far inferior to what I should have had at advanced levels, and in my first game, I encountered the endless corridor bug, so I deduce that the bug must have something to do with taking too long to reach the key, or perhaps with going back several times, as you say.

yes actually i made a save just before entering this corridor, since i had noticed something strange and that i did beleive it was a bug. So yes, save made just before the bug can occur :)

Actually i made this save a bit for bongobeat, just in case i'd contact him again, maybe he's would have been interested perhaps ? But i mailed him and no reply. I think i saturated him in some ways :lol:

I tried again to find out what could cause this very annoying thing, but i can't determine the source really. And since loading a save takes forever, i just gave up

i finished xaffi (all levels) and obanyon.

question

in obanyon, is this secret-map (found in the forge where you can craft the gold helmet) referencing to obanyon level 2 (the eastern part) ?

that what i though at first because there's a fake wall here but then, on the secret-map, there are these 2 little squares.. which is not the case on the obanyon l2 ?

Also i have everything to craft the moonlight greatsword but struggling to find where to forge it actually - i tried at mount khan, feanor's home, obanyon.. no craft possible in those places. got an idea perharps ?

Hello.

Regarding the secret of Obanyon and that map, that is the secret you have already found, I imagine that the “small squares” were put there to disguise a little or maybe by mistake.

Regarding the moon sword, it is forged in the forge of time, in the academy of malan tael.

ok, confirmed by bongobeat (about the map).

About the moon sword, that what i though - somehow i have one gem of the moon missing :(

I'm in the tech maze (arc, quantum reactor..), had to watch your video for the code (whith hal behind) - you seem to use some kind od calculator there, judging by the lengthy pause.. :mrgreen: anyway tks a lot for that! don't think i'd have know how to handle that situation tbh, yo spared me lot of troubles :D


Bongobeat seens a bit surprised about the bug in Xaafi but he has never been able to recognize his mistakes anyway :lol: besides he has moved on it seems

Hello!

Are you referring to the mathematical calculation of the long operation? I did it manually, and it's easier than it looks (if you try to solve it, you'll see).

Regarding the xaafi temple bug: Bongobeat knew about it from the first time I passed him the map asking him about the secret which was impossible to obtain due to the bug in version 204R (a year or a year and a half ago?). Maybe I was never able to explain it to him properly, but I mentioned it to him at least three times as I played other games xD The first time he saw my map without the walls being opened, he thought I had used the console for that area (haha, I didn't know anything about the console or anything else at the time).

Regarding the "forge of time": It's nothing more than a curiosity. By the time you get there, you'll be so “overpowered” that it won't matter, but it will be useful for the statistics on secrets, epic items, and all that.

hey Emilio..

1st things 1st, pm.. I hope you don't mind I"m aswering here. Actually there's much to read (changes list). I'm just gonna tell you the things below (and i'm sorry because it won't be much of a help):

- I can't remember the things you mention in general (specially the start of the game) -but- i didn't notice anything that strikes me there (in castle hardabar for example)
- I never use guns, always play with 2 mages at the back -> can't help you with the items you mentioned (i just sell those).
- About the items descriptions, I don't mind them tbh, and my english sucks all right, but i have an idea what the txt is about usually (well that's what i like to think i mean). To be honest with you, i think those are very minor details.. I'm not sure bongobeat will be motivated for this kind of stuff. And there are text errors everywhere anyway (it would be too much work..)

I would change tons of things myself, but it's just matter of taste: the boring boss fights, way too many items, books of knoweldge, maybe delete 1 or 2 level - or at least, make some avalaible sooner (for example - lake rhun comes way too late for me), etc etc and etc

I mean there are always things you can improve, and this mod is ridiculously huge, you'll never get the end of it ;)


Now something i can speak of

- about the shadow way in stargate. Now that's funny since i've just spent 1 hour at least trying to solve it, obviously never could. So i rushed at emilio's channel, check that level, and i just cannot understand. How in the world are you able to pass through that wall?? You don't seem to do anythng special though, just walk down the stairs -> stargate, then listen to hal, turn back, and.. fake wall ?

I mean did you activate something before that? Because i can't reproduce the fake wall - itl is always real for me :?

In the same time thanks for the other secret in this level (would have never found it myself), and thanks for 1 or 2 other things i had to check in your videos as well since i was stuck at some point. ;)


I completed quantum, lambda, stargate, the arc, and almost finished command center too. I remember this part of the game now - at first it's much work trying to figure out how things works in here, overall baffling for sure, but in the same time, i always get to like it in the end.

I'm still impressed by the amount of work and all the ideas bongobeat put into this mod (yet it doesn't change the fact he's in bad faith when it comes to bugs - and not that only actually :mrgreen: ). But it's a great experience overall ;)

All read and assimilated.

Regarding the texts: Bongobeat already made changes, I know they are minor changes, but as the English of the mod is not perfect is better to shorten and simplify to the maximum, that makes people from other countries with radically different languages (Russian or Chinese, for example) do not suffer :D

Regarding the boss battles: I thought like you the first time I played Hardabar, however when I played it again (several different times) the fact that the fights are difficult and long is good, for example, the ogres fight in sacred groove was always fun the second time you play and the later ones, the first time was a fucking hell xD

Regarding the "guns": In my first game I didn't use firearms either, but they are fun and effective, especially the special attack of “dragon riffle”, maybe this is the reason why some fights seem long and boring to you.

With respect to excess items: I think that can no longer be solved because it is changing too many things, so you have to learn here to choose what you want to carry (although it may not be the best at the moment) and get rid of the rest (although knowing where you leave it), for example, I love to carry the necklace of +250% experience, although in reality my characters may not need it because of the large number of levels that are raised and the large number of skillpoint books.

SHADOW WAY: in the previous level, “Quantum Reactor” there is a pool that you can jump into, under the water there is a button that says “shadow way”, press it and go (this may need to be done quickly) to that area and you can go through the wall, I never had difficulties in solving this, I think all the times when I got there I could always go through it because I had pressed the button before.

boss fights - some are ok, but most are boring to me, no tactic needed and these guys usually have 1000000 hp.. takes ages to finish them. Also the fact that some can kill you very fast as you are still are pretty weak, i mean regarding the start of the mod, so basically it's ' throw/waste all of your dead bombs or die '. And i like very much my dead bombs at the start, they are precious and hard to find, and just like that you waste all of them in 1 battle. lame for me

I said it many times to bgb but he never listened of course.


guns vs magic, id say magic ftw - anytime (i tried a few of them though). Aslo watched a bit the fight in your video in stargate since i was struggling reaching the secrets there. They look fun actually ;)

I was mainly speaking about the tomes of knoweldge. I have about a dozen still unused. And he also gives two many bombs in secrets. I stopped using them around the middle of chaper 2 (execept in rare situations

all right, iM not too unhappy with myself, finished the maze, got all dns disks, yau gems and stuff, was even able to rebuilt the fx bow 8-) I think I needed your help 6-7 times very much overall (through your videos). But was really stuck. im not a genius that for sure :D

I have the code and can open this door, but it's only beacause i kept my notes from an old version i used to play with..
