What did you spend most time failing at?

I spent probably an hour on the iron door on level 7.

For me it was the slime room. Trying to lure them to the door, then BAM my back row is dead from them attacking through the gates. Saved after every slime...haha

The last fight, but just because of monsters always spawning right behind me, preventing me from backing up, then side strafing into a pit. I died like 4x and had to run back up from lvl 13 countless times. At least you can rest on 13 and the boss doesn't heal...

yep.

that was the worst half hour of my life, and i'm uninstalling the game -- and telling everyone i know to not buy it, either. not until i hear it's been patched to hell and back. not to mention how incredibly laggy that entire room was. you can't do the entire fight looking at walls to prevent slow-down...

there's just no excuse for that kind of thing, really. they just didn't even test it, or if they did (unlikely!) they just ignored all feedback from their testers.

Oh god, this was really stupid of me, but "Time and Tide", one of the four puzzles in the Archives level. Basically, I figured out what to do quickly, but
SpoilerShow
out of habit I tried tossing a rock through the tele. The tele's destination was out of my field of vision, so when the rock plopped to the ground in that tile I assumed that the tele reoriented it in the wrong direction so it simply hit the wall. It did not occur to me that the tele was oriented correctly and that a shuriken or knife would travel the distance.
I think I spent a couple hours killing time trying to find a secret passage to the other side of that room before hitting up a walkthrough and facepalming.

my mage didnt have air magic, so i left the scroll (i think it was lightning bolt or something) on the alcove so the center part didn't open after i cleared the 2 other alcoves. Spent hours without any idea where to go or what to do (back tracked to level 7 twice atleast). Still think that was a bit of bad design since there was no hints that those alcoves should be empty.Though it was the only part that was annoying and blocked me for long time

really? that bad huh? I didn't have any lag at all (it was still hard mind you). maybe your cpu was just overheated?
