Why is there No Quiver?

Personally I think it’s really odd to have a ranged character and putting Arrows in their hand. Why did AH not at least put a quiver in this game like there really should be?

I absolutely 100% agree with this.
No archer would keep arrows in their hand!
Also this leave you completely defenceless to CQB. Maybe the reasoning behind this is that the stronger chars at the front are protecting the more vulnerable ones at the back, but this still doesn't mean you have to illogcial about weapon choices.
Also why not have a belt? There you could store potions and other thrown weapons for quick and easy use in battle.

A quiver is a good idea.
An even better idea is a Spellbook for all the spell scrolls.

Look errr... First of all arrows stack so if you wan to think of it as a quiver u can. Secondly a bow takes 2 hands so even fluff wise it makes sense.

It's a convenient way to make the bow a two-handed weapon while making use of the second slot as a useful arrow meter. From a functionality standpoint, adding a separate quiver would mean just another slot to manage.
*cue the SCA guy that brings up archers with bucklers and other unrelated realism factors*

Yea, ok we can call that symmetric if you want to break it down. But in reality. Have any of you actually used a bow? I have, and let me tell you there is no one that can hold 8 arrows in their off hand and fire a bow accurately.
Yes, this may all seem cosmetic, but the fact is there should be a quiver. You don’t need a counter to tell you that you’re out of arrows when you try and fire the bow and it comes up empty.

Implementing a Quiver doesn't seem that important to me. Just use one of the many sacks or boxes to hold ammunition and projectiles if you want to. All a quiver would be is just a different image for a bag that would only hold a specific type of item.

I'd say you aren't actually holding them there. It just represents which arrows you are choosing and gives a visual cue of that, as well as how many you have left. Now, while I can't speak for the developer's reasons for doing it, that sounds like the most reasonable reason. It also stops people from trying to put things in a hand that can't be used. Some games just leave the arrows in the bag and copy the bow icon to both hands, but then managing the arrows becomes a PITA. This seems a more useful approach. Your issue is simply with the representation of them being in a second hand, correct?
Now, about that quiver...
That's an interesting option for a mod, as a second level container system (chests and bags) already exists. It would be neat to be able to find a quiver in the dungeon somewhere. How would you manage the arrows, then? Other than a second level of bag management, when using multiple arrow types, what is the added benefit of the quiver?
