Minotaur rouge bringing the heat

Post by t0tem »

Some observations.

I'm on level nine and my party is as follows (level 12):
Human Fighter Axe
Lizard Fighter Sword
Insect Mage Ice
Mino Rouge Throw

My axe-fighter has the Norje Axe which makes her so slow it's painful and embarrassing to watch. My sword-fighter uses the Nex Sword and does an ok job. My mage uses ice bolt and freezes stuff on occasion so that's useful (although on this level, not so much). My Mino-rouge on the other hand, obliterates everything that shows up on the screen. He dual throws axes that rarely do less than 60 points of damage each and frequently over 100 and (because it's ranged) never misses. Add a fast cool down and you start to wonder what the fighters are really good for? Are they just something to put between the rouge and the enemy?

No shock, minotaurs are rather sexy with a bit of color in the cheeks. ;)

My minny thrower is quite the damage dealer. It's counter-intuitive, but it works.

I am starting over again with a mino-rogue-thrower, a fire mage insectoid, and I still haven't decided what to go with the others, I don't know if I want to go with an unarmed fighter plus a sword fighter or something else, maybe a dagger rogue plues sword fighter if it's worth it? What do you think?

If there was enough throwing weapons and lurker stuff (and make up) to go around, I'd go with 4 mino rogues. As it is, I suppose you could try an unarmed fighter. I'm not sure the dagger rogue is such a good idea tho.

I'll try to go with unarmed human monk with maxed out dexterity and a couple of points in strenght and vitality, a sword warrior, a mino-rogue and an insectoid fire mage. By the way there will be a lot of unused equipment (plate and chitin armor), since unarmed monk needs lurker set, warrior needs valor armor, and the mino-rogue-pew-pew can go naked with just throwing stuff (with these stats: 21 strenght 6 dexterity and 18 vitality as basic, aggressive and headhunter).

SpoilerShow
The illithids are not impressed.
I guess 4 rogues wouldn't be such a hot idea.

Na I think it is highly doable the 4 rogue party.

And yeah first statue I saw that just what I thought it was until I noticed the hands.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
My end game stats LoG 1st play through

Oh well yea, but not all ranged.

And I'm pretty sure wotc have trademarked the illithids, so maybe that explains the hands
