If you just can't solve the timed puzzle on level 6...

Post by quicksaver »

I made a little script which does the timing for you. I don't really know how to prove it is not a virus of some sort but if you look at my other (admittedly) few posts you will see that nobody died... :)

I posted the tool in my blog here: http://kesimunka.blogspot.de/2012/04/le ... apped.html

Original text:
On the sixth level "Trapped" of Legend of Grimrock is a very mean puzzle in the southwestern part of the level. I just couldn't do it and after 2 hours I made a little script which did the timing for me.

Personally I don't consider this cheating but self-preservation :)

Just download the tool, start it and follow the onscreen instructions:
Here they are in short:
- Face the first switch
- Press Control + F1
- wait for the script to finish

- Solve the minipuzzle to be able to continue.

- Go back to the first switch and face it again
- Press Control + F2

- wait for the script to finish

Done! Finally! :)
Edit: Some users reported the second part to be borked. I changed the timing and it should most probably work now :)

My solution to time critical puzzles was to use cheat engine and speedhack the game to run at 25% speed.

Just a small little tip, make sure you're not over encumbered when doing this timed puzzle, it makes it ALOT harder to do if you are... found that out the hard way
Check out my LoG2 Atlas Compendium (All Secrets, Treasures, Items, Equipment, Zones/Maps, & More!)

I can do that if you send me a savegame. I'm on level 13 or 12 and don't want to go all the way back to lvl 5 :) Send it to " tastyspamgoeshere at googlemail.com "

Just AutoHotKey. It's free, easy to code in and easy to learn.
