I went back and got this sword but yet never seen any real potential from it.
I had my fighter carrying it and i still ended up using magic to kill most of monsters.
My view is - this weapon is not needed and is more of a red herring that anything else.

What arcane nonsense is this?! I thought it was just for show so that my Fighter could look propperly dapper while my Mage does all the fighting.

Well it has the highest Attack Power rating from all swords in the game (as far as I know) and it occasionally inflicts additional shock damage. I focused more on my fighters and rogue than on my mage, so I'm very happy that I found this sword, it packs quite a punch.

One of my two fighters carries it and it does some pretty meaty damage!

anyway i got the sword and even though i used it - i just throught it wasnt worth all the hazzle of going getting it.It was not the ultimate weapon it was made out to be.

My problem with the Dismantler is that it has only a minimal damage plus over the Sword of Nex (the lightning effect nonwithstanding), but also a penalty in accuracy and speed, so the end results are quite disappointing.

How often does the lightning effect kick in, anyway?

My fighter would hit for about 70-80 each hit, and with the flurry of slashes... Those are some heavy, heavy hits.

I thought The Dismantler Was awesome. At least for me it bloody marvelous.

What makes it good is relative to what else you have up for grabs in the dungeon. Use what you find, and chances are its one of the better weapons. Hence its good in my books.
