[Feedback] Enchanted Arrows picking

Post by stage »

It is really annoying picking up on Enchanted arrow after you fired with them. I guess It would be ok if we had like quiver of 100 arrows, but since all type of throwing/arrows weapons are very rare makes it very difficult and annoying to hunt down each arrow, then pick it up, then put it inventory, then transfer it back for reenchantment then transfer it back to archer to equip and repear all over every 5minutes... and even harder since they are very "thin" and sometime hard to spot under rubble.

Can we have the option to autopick them at least in inventory, since ofc we can not stack them back to the ones not used yet, but getting them safely into inventory window would be a good start.

you can just fire the enchanted arrows, they turn to normal arrows, and have your mage turn them into enchanted arrows again. that way you can convert all arrows to one type

umm. as far as i know, the arrows that hit your target stick to it, and drop all on the spot the creature died, thus you can gather them up all at once. and shouldn't your character who fired the arrows pick them up again automatically? it might not work because they lose their enchantment and thus become different items. this might need to be changed a little.

Yeah. After a while I stopped enchanting my arrows because it became too cumbersome to repeat that cycle over and over again. +5 elemental damage is not that much in the higher levels.

Maybe enchantments shouldn't disappear after one use. That would make mages more powerful and I'm ok with that.

I like the way it is now, otherwise enchanting arrows would be overpowered, you just need to spend the energy that one time, rest and you have better arrows and 100% energy, now the only problem is that fired enchanted arrows turn into normal ones and since they count as a different kind of ammunition they don't get picked up automatically.

The quiver idea isn't bad in my opinion, but how would you select what type of enchanted arrow you want to use, supposing you have multiple kinds?

They only turn back to normal arrows if they hit an enemy, though.

The thing that annoys me quite a bit is that your archer doesn't automatically pick up regular arrows if he/she has enchanted arrows equipped (and even if they shoot all enchanted arrows they won't pick up the regular versions of them by themselves, unless they have at least one regular arrow equipped). Fights against tougher opponents tend to turn really hectic because of that, which probably is a design decision, but I'd still love to be able to pick up regular arrows automatically as long as my archer has a bow equipped.
