Saved Games and New Install

Hello
can anyone assist me with this problem.
I have saved all of my Saved games onto a backup drive.
Upgraded PC from win7 to win10 (fed up with the nagging). Reinstalled LOG 2, copied the Saved games back into the correct?? directory but the program doesn't see them.
As I was near to completion (in the Castle) it would be a pain to have to start over again, so any help would be great. Thank you

The directory holding the save games also holds the game-created files "grimrock.cfg", "grimrock.log" and game-created folders "Dungeons" and "Portraits". If those files and folders were not created after you started the game at least once you copied your saves to the wrong place.

Also, the Game version needs to be the same "Build" (or higher) than the Save Games. So if you patched your LOG2, when you originally played; but only did a fresh install just now - LOG2 save games may have a higher version than the vanilla install. Try patching LOG2 and see if that resolves it.

I also have the patches on my site (for ease of finding)...

Thank you very much for your assistance. Having now located the correct install directory and copied over the save games
all is well and hopefully I can now complete what has been a brilliant game.
Thanks again
