So what happened to Toorum after I used his bones on the Life Crystal? Was his soul freed or did he resurrect somewhere? He should be resurrected, but the description did say those were VERY old bones. And does that mean using crystals sort of binds you to them after you die?

I assume he is resurrected, and escapes when you do, ALSO FUN FACT check your save files now youve freed him, "Toorum_lives.txt", flag for a possible future DLC were we meet him/interact with him again ??

I always liked to assume his "Sigh" isnt one of relief, and is a sigh of dissapointment, he wasnt the prison to treverse the dungeons BEFORE you, he was one of the first, and every "Helpfull" stinking adventure since has rezzed him, again, and again, and again, not a "Sigh" of relief, a "Sigh" of "Not this crap again"
