Hi,
I'm only on level 3, but I'm on the verge of committing all my future skill points to my Human Rouge to become a "Dagger Assassin". For the players who are much farther into the game or have completed it, have you found this type of Rouge to be effective? How easy and common is it to get yourself into position to backstab?

Add a Frostmage or two, so you can freeze nearly every mob and then step around him.
And: an Airmage for Invisibility.
My party at the moment (my 5th party
): Two Frostmages, one of them with Invisibility, 2 rogues.

Simply said yes, a Assasination/Dagger Rogue is very effective late game, possibly more effective than any other Rogue build.

My dagger rogue was very good.
However, something to keep in mind is when I completed the game all of my characters were level 13 and the one wearing the 25% xp amulet was 14 and leveled off of the trash at the end. What does that mean and why is that relevant to this post. Well, if you want to keep them in the back row and max daggers you need a grand total of 62 points. Right? Well, 13 x 4 = 52. I was human, so that's 4. Now we're at 56.. add skilled, that's 59. So it's absolutely mandatory that they take at least 1 of your 3 (that I found) skill books if you want 50 dagger by the end of the game.
Is 50 dagger worth it? To be totally honest, other than the extra attack power and accuracy granted from just increasing my skill, not really. But let's be honest. Where the heck else are you gonna put your points? Death strike is very, very rare and considering I either 1 shot things or killed them in 3-4 attack phases, it's not really all that impressive since it always triggered as they were gonna die anyway.
Hope this helps you make your decision
